This tea caddy was designed after a 2-year collaboration and discussion between Kaikado, a shop specialized in tea caddy and established in the 8th year of Meiji period, and Mr. Sakurai, the founder of the Sakurai Japanese Tea Experience.

In addition to being a storage tool, the tea caddy also offers an additional “scooping” function. The design considered the flow from holding the tea caddy to putting tea leaves into teapot. Its curve, reminiscent of a tea spoon, facilitates the smooth transfer of tea leaves into the teapot.

Pale Yellow Brass
It was named based on the magnolia flowers-like "warm light yellow" described by Natsume Soseki in "The Three-Cornered World". Such material has excellent resistance to discoloration and antibacterial properties, maintaining the cleanliness and refined coloration for a long time.
