Rainwater
February 18th is "Rainwater".
The snow begins to melt, the ice melts, and the earth begins to move.
As spring approaches, snow turns to rain.
The blended tea, which represents rainwater, combines Minami Sayaka tea from Gokase, Miyazaki Prefecture, with alder bark, lemon peel, and fig leaves.
This tea has a refreshing aroma reminiscent of citrus and herbs, and is smooth and pleasant to drink. You can enjoy the slight bitterness and aroma of the bark of the tara tree and roots, which are well known as tara buds.
This tea is made up of the leaves and bark of the plant.
Because each part has a different role, the flavor and effects of the same plant vary greatly depending on the part, such as the leaves, roots, bark, or stem.
For example, leaves are for photosynthesis and transpiration, and bark is for defense and protection against external enemies.
There was some kind of exchange of energy being released and absorbed there, in other words, a "dialogue between the plants and nature."
When you drink tea, you naturally feel grateful for the change in seasons through plants.
In Tokyo, it is truly a "three cold days, four warm days" phenomenon.
We are starting to feel the seasons changing, with the weather suddenly getting warmer and then cold returning.
The feeling of the tea going down your throat and warming your whole body from your stomach is very comforting. If you're feeling a bit uneasy, try drinking tea.
