Awakening of insects
March 5th is the beginning of the season of insects.
This is the time when insects feel the warmth of the sun and emerge from the soil.
Buds are sprouting on the mountainside, and insects are fluttering towards the spring trees and flowers.
Among the 72 seasonal phases, the next phase after the awakening of insects is "Peach blossoms begin to laugh." This represents the appearance of peaches blooming after plum blossoms as the weather starts to get warmer.
Just as the mountains in spring are described as "laughing," the state of buds appearing, flowers blooming, and life overflowing is likened to "laughing."
Also, Hinamatsuri on March 3rd is also known as the Peach Festival, and is a time when the image of smiling plum blossoms is strong.
While cherry blossoms "fall," peach blossoms "spill."
When we think of smiles "spreading," the end of the peach blossom season is not something sad and fleeting, but rather a symbol of spreading wings and heading out into the world.
For the beginning of spring, we have combined Kurasawa black tea with mugwort and bergamot leaves.
The refreshing green aroma blends with the black tea, enveloping you in a gorgeous floral fragrance. The fruity flavor, which gives off the full body of the black tea, changes to a bitter taste reminiscent of biting into grapes, leaving a pleasant aftertaste.
Enjoy your tea time as it adds a touch of vibrant color to the invigorating spring weather.
